At Blenheim Restaurant we created a hashtag cocktail to create interest not only in the cocktail but to have it shared across social media platforms.

Spotted Pig
Spotted Pig

Here we waiting in the window of Spotted Pig to give the perspective of a person enjoying a mid-day glass of wine and a meal. We wanted to show the random events that can occur as one watches the world pass by - here a wedding sprung from nowhere on West 11th St. The added passerby to show that it wasn't a staged or stock phorography shot.

Chikalicious dessert bar

Happy staff can translate really well into great photos, demonstrate an that the venue is a warm comfortable place to walk into and share the experience.

The Place
The Place

When we posted this photograph on Instagram one of the comments was, "I want to jump into this picture!". We felt the same, by having the model with her backed tuned added to the mystery of the venue and made if feel much more intmate and not staged. It was like you are peering in on a life that you'd like to lead yourself, sitting sipping on a coffee or a cocktail being in our own world in this cafe/restaurent.

Waverly Inn
Waverly Inn

Often we like to show various angles of your restaurant and at different times of the day. Here we show the Waverly Inn during late morning for brunch showing you get outside tables and that is shaded by the trees. We wanted to also show how idyllic the tables and seating are even though they face open onto the street.

Marc Jacobs - Bookmarc
Marc Jacobs - Bookmarc

We can do events as well. Here shown the Marilyn Minter and Miley Cyrus event for Planned Parenthood at Marc Jacobs Bookmarc in the West Village.

Te Company
Te Company

This photography was for Te Company which is a new age tea shop. We wanted to show that drinking and chatting over a cup of tea is serious business but also a social occasion similar to a coffee shop can be. We choose to shoot when it was nearly full and make the room look its natural size to get the feeling of comfort and warmth.

Emmetts
Emmetts

Here we wanted to create the "drop in" effect, that we were a fly on the wall stumbling open a filming of a pizza commercial. The filming was actually for a German based documentary on Italian foods in New York City. The birds eye view gives shows the entire bar/restaurant at work and how cozy it can be.

Grand Banks
Grand Banks

For Grand Banks restaurant boat we really wanted to capture the water, the views and backdrop as its all part of the experience of eating and drinking on a boat moored on the water. We also wanted to show it in full flight with people enjoying themselves, not getting sea sick! and not been rocked around too much. We also show the canopy to demonstrate there is shade if its very hot and sunny. We took a second photograph on the boat to show the bar area with people around enjoying the cocktails, champagne and oysters!

Cafe Cluny
Cafe Cluny

The ice-cream cart out the front of Café Cluny is open all summer, sometimes its best to show it in action, explains what it does on the tin.

Entwine
Entwine

Entwine is a wine / cocktail bar near Meatpacking District, they were already well known for the bar area but not many people knew they had a patio out the back of the bar as it was hidden off the main street. As this was open all day we deiced to get a shot in daylight but with a mix of scenarios occurring in the patio. Some drinking in a group, some one on one and one person reading as it can also be a quiet place to stop when not using the main bar. We feel like we encapsulated everything into one shot and the picture told the whole story.

Fig & Olive
Fig & Olive

Fig & Olive have a theme night on Thursday's known as "Pink Thursday", whereby they serve pink champagne, have pink food bites etc. We did some inside photography of the venue but also wanted to show how easy it would be just to walk in and follow the pink carpet into the Restaurant/Bar - the "stride by" photograph was used to show firstly the pink entry carpet and the girl walking past. With the series of photographs you get the full view from outside, to walking inside to the pink theme inside.

Blenheim cocktail story
Blenheim cocktail story

Here we produced a little story to seduce the reader in to the restaurant and the speciality cocktail;

"We met at 86% battery life, it was brunch, by 3pm I was 68%, I wasn't sure what next?, we kept talking, showing photos of our lives form our phones, by 3:46pm I was at 52%, still not sure but it was some form of measure, by the time I hit 41%,I thought perhaps this could go somewhere, like more than just right now, I was thinking where next, somewhere to talk, by now I was at 32%, I was thinking 'is that a bad thing?', just being cut off, living in the moment?' Probably not, this was good, it was a start of something new, at 22% we went to @blenheimnyc just prior to dinner, we drank a #wildwestvillagecocktail, watermelon, tequila & wild mint with honey! At 12% I had fallen, this was something good, the company, the cocktail, the moment"

Wallse Bar Story
Wallse Bar Story

Here we were promoting the bar as an alternate to the restaurant to not only drink but eat, we also wanted to show the beautiful window and that it was the perfect date spot, the single glass of wine was to show the girl waiting, to put oneself in the scene themselves.;

"As he rushed from his office to meet her, the excitement was great to tell her about his recently received promotion. In the taxi on the way to restaurant he thought of the ways he would tell her about his recent success, straight up? Should he wait for dinner? So much strategy for a man to think about. Upon arrival he saw her sitting at the bar, wine already in hand, staring out the window across West 11th Street, she looked happy, in a dream like state, just staring out the window, half smiling, mouth slightly ajar. He opened the door to the restaurant and was greeted by the maitre d, he motioned towards his partner at the bar, removing his coat, he joined her most enamoured to tell her about his special day. He couldn't wait, literally bursting out of his skin, he hadn't even ordered a drink for himself he began to tell her; "Today, today has been...", but before he had a chance to finish she interrupted him without knowing she was skipping through his words, "this" she said, "this", "wow", "you choose so well, the window, the views, the lighting, the wine, everything, this! It's like a...", he looked perplexed, not sure what it was she was saying, "this" she said again. Unperturbed he began to speak again, this time he thought he would push on with his announcement as it needed to be released! Nevertheless before he could even start the sermon about his day she pressed her finger across his lips, "shhhh", "you don't need to say words, this is perfect, the right moment, everything, let it be, the moment, sometimes there does not need to be words".... "this"... | Recently the unsightly scaffolding came down at @wallsenewyorkrestaurant, giving life to its amazing bar space. I predict a renaissance here, the bar provides sweeping views across the village and you can enjoy the same restaurant menu at the bar including their world famous Michelin star Austrian schnitzel with cranberry sauce! I would also recommend their signature cocktail "Viennese Sunrise" Enjoy the moment!"
